Baby Lips Review

My most recent purchase are these gorgeous lip balms by Maybelline called 'Baby Lips' which are £2.99 and you can find these in the likes of Superdrug and Boots. They have only recently arrived in the UK and they have hit it big! It literally took me a good few shops to find them in as they are sold out everywhere! There are 6 to collect and the only one i couldn't get my hands on was the Yellow one! But, i did manage to get the rest! I'll name them all for you and then go into a little detail on these must have lip products!

(from left to right)
Pink: 'Pink Punch'
Purple: 'Peach Kiss'
Blue: 'Hydrate'
Green: 'Mint Fresh'
Orange: 'Cherry Me'
( The Yellow one which i don't yet have is called, 'Intense Care').

All these lip balms do work the same for me! They are all moisturising and a easy size to just pick up and go! Each day i'll tend to pick up a different one and try it out! The only three with a flavour to them are, 'Peach kiss' which obviously tastes like peach, 'Mint Fresh' which is very minty, and 'Cherry Me' which is my favourite flavour and i literally just want to eat it! But, the one for me which i take to work with me every day is 'Hydrate' (blue). I work in a place where i need to go into huge freezers and Fridges a lot of the time and my lips chap so quickly due to the coldness, but the hydrate lip balm for me just works a complete treat! It really does do what the name says and hydrates your lips! I notice a difference straight away and can't stop telling people at work about them, hoping they will go out and buy them to! They are definitely one of my must have beauty products for winter!

Which one is your favourite? Let me know!

Victoria Jackson make up haul.

Everyone raves about, Mac, Benefit, Inglot etc. But the make up brand i have a lot of and i use in my everyday make up routine is, Victoria Jackson. If you guys haven't heard of her before, she has a website and is based in the USA but i'd definitely go and check it out! So i'm going to show you my make up palettes i have and here's hoping you will love them as much as i do and purchase some!

So this was one of the first palettes i received and it's my favourite out the lot of them! It has more natural colours and a few odd darker. They are really pigmented and what's also great about this palette is that you got a eye liner and mascara with it! In the next few weeks i'm going to be doing some make up looks using this palette so keep an eye out for that!

swatches of palette above (the first 3 are very light but you can just make them out)

Now, i haven't used this as much as i wanted to as i tend to use lipsticks more than lipglosses but i do use then when i want to tone down a brighter lipstick and even it out to the colour my skin tone matches. So i really only use this palette for that, and that alone! But this would be good for people who are into glosses and want something a little different.

This is the bronzer i always use on a night out, i have two of these as i love them so much! They are just the perfect shade for my skin, not to in your face but not to light either! I'd go and check them out. They definitely wont disappoint!

I got this palette and another (which will be down below) in a set, Day and Night. This is the night time palette. More darker eye shadows, blusher and lips. I really do love this but i haven't been brave to wear dark purples out yet. But, i'm going to start using all my high end make up more, so a make up look will definitely be on the cards using this palette! (LEFT TO RIGHT)
  • highlight
  • three purple eye shadows
  • blusher
  • two red lip glosses

This is the 'day time' palette. As you can tell, i have used this A LOT. I haven't really used it for the past 4 months but this used to get a lot before then! The blusher is just the right colour for me and i don't want to finish it as i can't find another one i love as much as that! The three eye shadows are 2 pinks and a black. I used to blend those three constantly together to give a smokey eye look. (LEFT TO RIGHT)

  • Bronzer
  • 2 pink and 1 black eye shadow
  • blusher
  • 2 pink lip glosses

Finally, last but not least. My large palette. Now, must admit, i found this at the make of my make up drawer about a month ago and can't believe i forgot about it! The four eye shadows are totally me at the moment as i'm going for a more nude look on my eyes! I get a lot of use out of the blushers at the moment to and use them daily but as for the poor lip glosses i just feel like i neglect them as i'm just not a fan of them! If i could take them out of it and pass it on to someone else, i would! You may be wondering why there are three brushes missing, but that's because i took them out and put them in my make up pot. I don't tend to use brushes i get with sets and use my own!

I hope you guys enjoyed this VERY long haul. Please check out her stuff, it's incredible!

Glossybox, August 2013

So this month was my first month receiving a GlossyBox! I was so excited about it, but also a little nervous as i had a heard a few people say it was a waste of money and it wasn't all the fantastic! But, i thought i'd go for it and see myself if it's worth it or not! This is not a review. This is me showing you what i received, then the start of September i will be doing a review on the products!

August 2013 box

Jelly Pong Pong eye pencil

When i first opened this, this is what i was instantly drawn to! I am so excited to try this out! Not only is it a eye pencil but it's also a shadow stick! You can buy these online on the jelly pong pong website at £10.50.

Emite eye lash curlers

These are so beautiful and i can't wait to try them out! I am a little scared of eye lash curlers! (i'm not the only one right!?) but i was going to buy some so these saved me some money! You can buy these on Emite's website and these are £20.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth hair treatment

This was a weird one! I was going to buy this in Tesco a week before i got this Glossybox, so i was so happy when i seen this in it! I can't wait to test it and see if it actually works! This is £1.49 in highstreet stores!

Oceane make up remover pen

I was the most excited about this product! It is so unusual and id never heard of anything like it before! I'm most excited about reviewing this the most! It's not yet available in the UK, but when it is, i'll let you guys know!

Urban Veda Skincare

This is a daily radiance cream which i'm hoping to stick to! It says it brightens up your face and balances skin tones! But i'll be the judge of that! You get these on there website and start from £7.99 a bottle!

I can't wait to review these for you guys! The blog will be up in the next 2 weeks! Enjoy!

July favourites

Sorry about the lack of blog posts lately but been very busy working and had a lot of personal issues going on, but that's me back now! Hurrah!

So i'm going to be telling you about me July Favourites and hopefully you will love them as much as i do and give them a shot! Please note, i have blogged about a few so you can refer to the previous blog posts (i will link them below).

I am going to start with my two Ted Baker make up bags i received, i got one for my birthday and bought one as a little gift to myself!

The first one is the leopard print make up bag. I got this as a gift from my parents for my 19th birthday which was a few weeks ago! I love this! It's so pretty and fits all my makeup in it perfectly! The other reason they bought it and i love it is that it's called, Karina. How awesome is that!?

The second Ted Baker bag is actually a toiletry bag but i bought it for a makeup bag/going out clutch!  It's a pretty light pink/nude colour with a pink bow on the front with a gold stud holding on the bow! It's so spacious inside and literally can hold everything in it, from my makeup to my perfumes, and even my eye shadow palettes!

Next is my all time favourite product of the month! This has basically been a lifesaver to my hair and made it in such good condition! I needed something for my hair to protect it from heat as it was damaging my hair that much my hair was snapping off! So i splashed out and bought Lee Stafford Shampoo and Heat protection spray! Straight away i could feel the difference of how much healthier my hair felt! It did make my hair feel a little dry at first but then as i dried it and applied the heat protection is went straight away and felt nicer and healthier! Now if you ever do buy the heat protection spray always remember spray it a arm length away as any closer it can make your hair sticky, but that's because of the natural oils in it! It cost me £23 for both. A little expensive but does wonder on your locks!

HEAT PROTECTION.

SHAMPOO

Next is the bareMinerals primer in the 15ml bottle. I have two of these, the full size and the smaller one! I got them both from my mum's friend who owns a hair salon and sells the bareMinerals products! I really am in love with this! I have heard a lot of people say that primer doesn't do much and it's a waste of money, but i notice a different when using it! All you do is a use a little bit, about the size of a pea, and apply on your face or eyes. I put it on before my eye shadow, so i apply to the lids of my eyes, do my foundation, then by the time i get around to applying eye shadows it has sunk in and it makes it last even longer on my eyes! It's a great investment! i am also really looking into buying the urban decay primer lotion as well!

ELF cosmetics has been a huge part of my life recently, it's all i've been buying as its cheap and affordable! This is a lipstick or as they are commonly known as 'chubby sticks'. I usually apply a lighter lipstick to start off with then apply this, i am loving this at the moment! It has a glitter through it, which might not be everyone's taste but they do, do others without glitter through! It just makes my lips look amazing! And it's only about £1.50! What a bargain!

Swatch of the ELF cosmetics chubby stick

Nearly there guys! (honest). My next product is the 'Rimmel wake me up concealer'. Now i didn't want to go along with the hype, but i ran out of my 'collection' concealer and decided after a lot of thinking to get this. Now i wasn't to sure at first as i wasn't impressed as it made my skin a little oily! I then applied the Rimmel face powder to set it and it looks fabulous! It takes away the dark circles under my eyes, and makes me look more fresh and adds a healthy glow! Definitely buy this! It's about £4.99.
